Guide Right is Kappa Alpha Psi’s national service initiative dedicated to the educational and occupational guidance of youth. The Kansas City Guide Right Foundation serves as the local philanthropic engine that makes this work possible.

About Us

Kansas City Guide Right Foundation

We are the philanthropic arm dedicated to supporting youth development and service initiatives connected to Kappa Alpha Psi in the Kansas City metro area.

Our mission is to provide resources, mentorship, and opportunities that help young men become confident leaders, excellent students, and committed servants in their communities. Through strategic partnerships with schools, families, businesses, and civic organizations, we fund programs that develop character, leadership, academic excellence, and a lifelong commitment to service.

Programs

Kappa League & Community Service

Our programs are designed to help young men grow as leaders, scholars, and servants in their schools, families, and neighborhoods.

Kappa League

Kappa League is our flagship leadership development program for young men in grades 6–12. Guided by committed mentors, participants engage in:

  • Leadership workshops and speaker series
  • Academic and college readiness support
  • Career exposure and entrepreneurship modules
  • Financial literacy and life-skills training
  • Community service and civic engagement projects

Community Service Projects

We fund and support community service projects that are planned and executed by Kappa Leaguers and volunteers, including:

  • Neighborhood clean-ups and beautification
  • Food, clothing, and school supply drives
  • Voter education and civic engagement efforts
  • Collaborative projects with local schools and churches

These experiences teach responsibility, teamwork, and the importance of giving back.

Scholarships & Enrichment

As resources allow, the Foundation provides scholarships and enrichment support for students who demonstrate academic effort, leadership, and service.

  • Scholarships for graduating seniors
  • Support for college tours and conferences
  • Stipends for specialized camps and institutes

Donor support helps us expand these opportunities each year.
